Our projects, installations, and medical equipment
Welcome to the ACROMED Healthcare Technologies project gallery. Below you will find photographs from our installation projects across Uganda and East Africa, as well as images of the medical equipment we supply and support. We take pride in delivering professional installations that meet international healthcare standards, and our gallery showcases the range of equipment and services we offer to hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centres of all sizes. From advanced digital imaging systems to critical care patient monitors and fully equipped laboratory setups, each image reflects our commitment to quality and reliability in healthcare technology.
In early 2025, we completed the installation of a digital X-Ray system and two Mindray multi-parameter patient monitors at a 50-bed private hospital in Jinja. The project included mounting of a ceiling-suspended X-Ray arm with ceiling column, installation of lead-lined protective screens for radiation safety, network connection to the hospital's existing information system for image archiving, and two full days of hands-on training for the radiology and nursing teams. The hospital reported that their patient throughput in the radiology department increased by 40% within the first month of operation due to the digital workflow replacing their previous film-based system.
For a diagnostic laboratory in Gulu, we supplied and commissioned a 3-part Mindray BC-10 haematology analyser, a Locmedt LOC-200 semi-automated chemistry analyser, and a Zeiss PRIMOSTAR 3 binocular microscope with digital camera attachment. The installation was completed within five days of equipment arrival, including calibration of both analysers using manufacturer-provided controls and standards, and two half-day training sessions for the laboratory technologists. The lab began processing patient samples immediately after training and has since been running an average of 80 to 120 samples per day with no significant downtime.
Our team recently deployed surgical theatre lighting and an autoclave steriliser at a maternity centre in Kampala. The project involved replacing outdated incandescent surgical lights with modern LED surgical lighting providing shadow-free illumination at 120,000 lux, and installing a 35-litre autoclave for sterilising surgical instruments. The equipment was commissioned after testing all safety features and emergency cut-offs, and the clinical team received training on light positioning, intensity adjustment, autoclave loading procedures, and routine maintenance. The maternity centre has since reported improved surgical outcomes for Cesarean sections and emergency obstetric procedures.
Beyond these featured projects, our portfolio includes installations of patient monitoring systems at multiple Kampala hospitals, supply of ultrasound scanners to clinics in Mbale and Mbarara, deployment of oxygen concentrators to COVID-19 treatment centres during the pandemic response, and ongoing maintenance contracts with facilities across all regions of Uganda. Each project, regardless of size, follows our standard quality process and is documented with photographs for our project records. If you would like to visit a facility where we have completed a similar installation, we can arrange a reference visit with the client's permission so you can see our work first-hand and speak directly with equipment users about their experience.
Our team of certified biomedical engineers has completed over 200 installation projects across Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and South Sudan. These images show completed installations at various healthcare facilities, including hospital ward setups, operating theatre configurations, and diagnostic laboratory deployments. Each installation follows a rigorous process of site assessment, equipment calibration, integration testing, and staff training to ensure seamless operation from day one. We work closely with facility managers and clinical teams to customise every installation to the specific needs of the department and the patients it serves.
We supply a comprehensive range of patient monitoring solutions for intensive care units, high-dependency wards, emergency departments, and general wards. Our portfolio includes multi-parameter vital signs monitors, portable bedside units, central monitoring stations, and wireless ambulatory monitors from leading manufacturers such as Mindray, Contec, and Shenzhen Medical. These devices track critical parameters including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, and temperature in real time, enabling clinical staff to respond quickly to changes in patient condition. We also provide mounting solutions, network integration, and staff training to ensure your monitoring system operates reliably.
ACROMED supplies digital X-Ray systems, portable imaging units, and ultrasound scanners that deliver high-resolution diagnostic images while minimising radiation exposure. Our imaging portfolio includes fixed digital radiography systems for hospital radiology departments, mobile X-Ray units for bedside imaging in wards and emergency settings, and portable ultrasound scanners for point-of-care diagnostics. We partner with manufacturers such as Mindray and Shenzhen Medical to offer reliable imaging solutions suitable for facilities of all sizes. Each system is delivered with complete installation, calibration, and operator training to help your team produce accurate diagnostic images from the outset.
Our laboratory equipment range covers haematology, chemistry, microbiology, and general lab diagnostics. We supply fully automated haematology analysers, clinical chemistry systems, centrifuges, microscopes, and essential lab consumables from reputable brands including Mindray, Locmedt, Zeiss, and DLAB. These instruments support diagnostic laboratories in hospitals, research facilities, and standalone clinics to perform accurate blood analysis, disease screening, and routine testing. Each instrument is supplied with installation, calibration, and troubleshooting support to maintain reliable performance and compliance with laboratory quality standards.
We offer a range of LED surgical lights and medical examination lighting designed for operating theatres, procedure rooms, and outpatient clinics. Our surgical lighting solutions provide bright, shadow-free illumination with adjustable intensity and colour temperature to support precision during surgical procedures. Exam lights are available in ceiling-mounted, mobile floor-standing, and wall-mounted configurations suitable for consultation rooms and minor procedure areas. All lighting products are energy-efficient, durable, and backed by our installation and maintenance services to ensure long-term reliable operation in clinical environments.
